My 3D shape

Shape

In our Hub (Hub 2) we made 3D shapes and we had to chose our favorite 3D shape Once we had that we were practically half way this is how we made them

First we got the shape we wanted to do and made the template to do that you had to carefully make the shape with a ruler. (mine was a triangular prism)

After that we made sure that our shape was perfect

Then we got to SKETCH what topic we chose there was outdoors, space, buildings and the  beach (I chose beach) we had to chose our favorite sentences making sure that you had the amount of sentences we needed we had to make the sketches very detailed.

We are now nearly finished and we can make the 3D shape into a 3D shape so we have to glue the tabs and put it together. so now you know this is how we made our awesome 3D shapes

The time I stood on the cat brush!

Has anyone stood on something sharp that hurt or made you bleed or worse? That has happened to me before and now I will tell you about Me standing on the cat brush. It happened 3 years 6 days ago. I came running into the lounge not knowing that there was a cat brush right in front of me.  

I had stepped into the lounge and without looking I put my heel onto the, cat brush! I was quite for a while then I screamed an ear perrings scream I hopped over to mum she did not pull it out so I went to dad and he yanked it out easily. I was brave  because I let dad pull it out.

                

The thing I like the most

The thing I like the most.

As I disappear into darkness I fly to the new life ahead. I stare at an alleyway in front of me. I noticed the heavy weight on my back, my feet were in shoes, my clothes were a uniform instead of home clothes and there was a stench of cats coming from the alleway.  I realize that I am coming home from school or work., I am a new me.

The sun was setting as I was walking down the street to home. I looked left and right and right before my eyes was one more alleway. The alleyway was glowing with stray cats and dogs, that is when I heard yelling from behind so I start to hurry home. But I didn't get there.

I was getting nervous the person or thing was getting closer I got up quickly and saw them leaving me. All of a sudden the bag was heavier than before, I did not stop I turned around and walked back home I did not want that to happen again. As I stepped inside a voice called out “you're finally here!” I walked to my room and plonked myself onto my bed and as I took of my bag the darkness returned and I knew that my adventure was finished and I was leaving the imaginary world behind. Soon I was sitting on a new bed I was home.

While reading the news I came across an article about Scientists that have found a way to make an invisibility cloak.

I found it interesting because I never knew that an invisibility cloak is real.

I wish i understood why they need to make an invisibility cloak.

While reading the news I came across an article about a zoo person naming a giant baby panda bei bei.

I found it interesting because I know there is not much giant pandas left.

I really like the way how there is one more giant panda in the world.

I wonder why the zoo keeper named her that.

While reading the news I came across an article the pests that us kiwis hate the most.

I found it interesting because I thought that we hated all of the pests.

It makes me think of what pests I hate the most.

I can relate to this because I hate cockroaches.

My term

This term, the most challenging / difficult thing for me was maths because I sometimes got frustrated at a problem
I now know / I discovered that I can be good at maths when I try.
The most enjoyable / fun part of the term was when I played netball.
I wonder if I will make new friends next term.

Next term, my goal is to / my next step is to try to stand up to more people.

The big move

As most of you know the senior school has slowly became hubs and have moved out of the senior block. Hub one has moved into Room 16 and the little offices that are there as well, and Hub 2 has moved into the hall. It was not as crazy as we thought it would be!

Most of you will be wondering why, how and what is happening. Well it is happening because it will help our learning in every way and we are needing an environment that now matches our learning. Also our classrooms were the first classrooms built years and years ago so we they need to be rebuilt.

 

The students are working fine in this new classroom and are finding it great. We are also learning to control our behaviours and decisions, and are learning to be self aware all the time. We also are finding what it will be like with 3 classrooms made into a hub and to tell you the truth it surprisingly going well in the hall.

                                                                                                                                       

To me the hall is not that bad the noise level is really good for a group of 73-75 children. We have settled in well and have adjusted to how we work now. I think it will be hard to leave the hall behind when they have finished the classrooms. I will miss the hall when we leave it behind because it has became our new classroom already.

Me scraping my nose

It was when we were still in our rooms 3, 4 and 5 and it was After school. So I was walking with my scooter round the bend of room 5 and I must of hit a piece of uneven ground and I scraped my nose on the concrete. I also had a big blood nose. I have a new enemy now and that is the concrete.

My accident that I will never forget.

 My accident that is when we were playing a game and I was on our tramp. That is when  Dylan ran at me and pushed me off the tramp I fell and landed on my left arm. I screamed out loud I had broken my arm that was all because of Dylan. So that was the time I hurt myself and I will never forget it.

I found it interesting because I thought everything was going just fine.

I wonder why they are arguing about things like this.

I found it interesting because I thought that you had to be a certain age to do this sort of thing

My daffodil Art

Daffodil Art.

First we  got hessian and then we had to either draw or cut some lines so we could do the Art.

Then we pulled out all the horizontal lines so it left the vertical lines there.

After that we got some green felt and made it into grass for the bottom.

Then we made some Daffodil flowers and stuck them on the Art and then we had finished.

While reading the news I came across a acrital that says that we have 3 trillion trees left in the whole entire world and a team of people proved it

I found it interesting because I thought that there would be more trees than that

I wonder how we will get more trees

I am surprised that we only plant 5 billion trees back when we cut over 15 billion trees every year.

I want to know why we do not plant new trees when we cut down the trees we cut down. here is the link to the acrital earth has 3 trillion trees

While reading the news I came across a acrital about a 4 year old boy that fell down a well to find his Missing dog.

I found it interesting because I did not think things like this would happen

I wonder how the boy found the well that was covered in weeds.

While reading the news I came across an article about a giraffe who found a security camera and smiled to it.

I found it interesting because I thought that giraffes did not look around for these sort of things.

I am surprised that a small giraffe saw it and its mates did not.

Have you thought of what you would do when you can get free wishes? well Cyril, Athena, Robert, Jane and their baby brother found out that most wishes leads to trouble.

They find exciting, fun, crazy and sad adventures ones that make people forget things, make them angry and sad as can be. So now they need to let their minds think a way how to fix things.

Being a Shadow

                    Cross County

As I sit there watching my friend Chloe in the shadows getting ready to run thinking that I would not run with her. On your marks get Set GO! Chloe runs off I sat there laughing at her because I would not run with her! soon Chloe reached the hot sun light there I felt like I was pulled and poked and yelled at by everyone then I realized that I was I was being pulled into the race I looked around and saw Laura Chloe’s friend as well as sparkle her friend and my friend.  She was pulled and poked just like I was. Soon I found myself on a rocky path way I moaned and groaned like anything but then rocks flicked at me I cried angrily I yelled at chloe to stop and let me walk instead of running but she does not listen to me the longer she ran the more miserable I got.

Soon I was on something soft, wet and mushy. Oh please do not be grass because I HATE getting wet. Then I found a big orange thing what is it? I see that Chloe smacked her hand on the thing I thought for a while and remembered that it was a cone when she smacked her hand down on top of the poor terrified cone I said some nice words to calm it down I look up and see that we were on a small hill I see the finish line we are going to finish soon! I get ready to yell and cheer but we pass the finish line oh please do not do another lap.

I am so so fed up with Chloe she doesn't listen to me at all. Right now I am pleading like anything saying all the words that should persuade her but no she just looks down and says look whisper I want to have a good race that is it! I will do anything to stop running I hard and see some shadows I yelled with glee I will finally have a rest but the shadow was very small I look everywhere and see the finish line I feel glad, mad at someone and tired. I hope this will not happen again!

I found it interesting because next year in summer I will be going to Christchurch for a whole entire week for something like a camp.

Book review 4

I am writing an alternative ending for my book

Before Celie’s pet Rufus lands He drops his bucket  full of water when he landed the bucket gave way and Celie Rolf and Rufus get splashed with water I burned her skin what was in this water she thought then she realised that it was the promised water “Rufus!” she says you got it from the lake didn't you? she asks Rufus screeches in reply oh Rufus she sobs what now? Rolf mumbles something “what was that Rolf?” says Celie “I said we will go home I think I have an Idea” Rolf said He grabs the crown puts it on and said in a loud voice “All griffins If you want to come Come to me!” a hole lot of griffins come and surrounds them “NOOOO!!!!!!” Yells the wizards “YES” they yelled back. soon a huge griffin came picked up the wizards and took them off them came back as soon as he came back Rolf shouted “Castle take us home now!” there came a rumble then they felt like they were going to be sick then they landed in their home but with Rolf and Celie and Rufus sick and on the verge of dying Bran came took them to the hart and started to heal them.
